so i had my first fantasy football draft last night after a uva softball game in which i went 3-4 with an inside the park homerun (bloody knees from multiple slides caused by 2 over thrown balls), and two singles. i also pitched stepping down in the final inning with a 12-4 lead. thank you.
then came the football. it's a league i don't really care for i must say, mainly because there's no money involved and aside from marc (of white nerdy wonks fame) i don't know anyone in it. 12 owners, 2 keeper picks from last year, and a shitload of slots to fill. here's my draft:
Philip Rivers
(SD - QB)
Antonio Bryant
(TB - WR)
Chris Chambers
(SD - WR)
Hakeem Nicks
(NYG - WR)

(Jac - RB) This player is a keeper.

Not the strongest group of wide receivers ever assembled. Maybe Rivers, MJD, Jackson and Witten will carry your team.
yeah, i should have drafted a receiver in the first round since 7 of the tops ones were keepers, but i think the rookie for ny will have a very good year...but i truly am banking on my backs and tight ends.
I still have no idea who I ended up with in this league because of a Yahoo account mishap. Don't really care, thought since it's a no money league, like you said.
