steelers mock draft 2.0

okay, here i go with all seven rounds of the draft, i was simply waiting for the cutler trade and for burress to be cut...and for donte to go to jail.

the steelers have plenty of needs but have no need to pick up an instant starter, as high hopes fall on the repaired shoulder of last year's 1st round draft pick and tackles in waiting hills and capizzi. so like most great teams they can afford to draft the best player available. so with that in mind i present to you the steelers draft:

1 (32) darius butler cb connecticut.
this would be a sweet 1st round pick, solid player who would push william gay and take over the nickle slot from townsend allowing him to move to safety when clark gets hurt again.

i wouldn't be surprised if pittsburgh picks up a lineman like alex mack or william beatty. but folks should be happy with the talented corner.

2 (64) paul kruger de utah.
i actually don't think he'll still be sitting here at the bottom of the second round but it would kick serious ass if he was. the 6'4 263 beast could learn behind arron smith and be a nightmare on special teams.

3 (96) fenuki tupou ot oregon.
imagine troy polamalu swallowed andy reid but was able to maintain some sense of mobility.

4 (132) alex magee de purdue.
yes my second d-line pick. got a problem with it?

5 (168) a.q. shipley c penn state.
i guess it's not ideal to have a center as tall as me, but this kid can flat out play, not to mention he's probably the smartest football player that didn't go to virginia.

5 (169) jasper brinkley ilb south carolina.
i graduated with james farrior, enough said.

6 (205) quinn johnson fb lsu

7 (226) john phillips te virginia.
imagine having another heath miller!!!

7 (241) tiquan underwood wr rutgers.
i had something clever to say here but i forgot....it had to do with blair underwood and acting of some sorts.

so there it is. i'll probably do a few more as prospects continue to visit.
