farm worker ben nyaumbe was attacked by a 13ft long python while working in the malindi area of kenya's indian ocean coast. monty wrapped the farmer in its coils and dragged him up the tree. mr. nyaumbe bite the snake's tail and was able to reach his cell phone (the farmer's not the python's)and call for help. police arrived and were able to get the two out of the tree and capture the snake.
the police said they took the snake to a sanctuary in Malindi town but it escaped overnight and will most likely head to mogadishu to join the pirates (real pirates not my crappy baseball team).
"we are still seriously looking for the snake," said officer supt katam. "we want to arrest the snake because any one of us could fall a victim."
in other snake news- snakes escape flight on quantas flight. four baby pythons escaped from their containers during a flight from alice springs to melbourne (that's in australia). samuel l jackson could not be reached for comment.
